【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsforfourclassesofmachinable,high-densitytungstenbasemetalproducedbyconsolidatingmetalpowdermixtures,thecompositionofwhichismainlytungsten.Thismaterialspecificationmaybeusedforbarepartsorforpartsthatmaybecoatedwithothermaterialsforprotectionagainstcorrosionandabrasion.1.2IntendedUse8212;Partsmadefromthismaterialareintendedforusessuchasweightsorcounter-balancesinstaticordynamicbalancing,high-speedrotatinginertiamembers,radiationshielding,hypervelocityimpact,andvibration-dampingapplications.1.3SpecialApplications8212;Forparticularapplications,propertiesorrequirementsotherthanthosespecifiedinSections5,6,and7ofthisspecificationmaybeimportant.Thesealloysmaycontainelementswhichmakethemmagnetic.Wherefreedomfrommagneticresponseisrequired,thisshouldbespecifiedinthepurchaseorder.Class4isnotavailableinanon-magneticgrade.Forpurposesofthisspecification,non-magneticmaterialisdefinedasmaterialhavingamaximummagneticpermeabilityof1.05(seeTestMethodB193).Alsoforspecialapplicationsinvolvinglargesections,methodsfordetermininginternalquality,suchasmechanicaltestsonspecimensfromtheselargersectionsorsuitablenondestructivetestsmaybeapplied.Ifrequired,theseadditionaltestsshallbespecifiedinthepurchaseorder.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
