【摘要】:Thedataobtainedfromthebearingtestarethebearingultimateandyieldstrength.Thedataprovideameasureoftheload-carryingcapacityofamaterialedgeloadedwithaclose-fittingcylindricalpinthroughaholelocatedaspecificdistancefromthespecimenedge.Bearingpropertiesareusefulinthecomparisonofmaterialsanddesignofstructuresunderconditionswherethepinisnotrestricted.1.1Thistestmethodcoversapin-typebearingtestofmetallicmaterialstodeterminebearingyieldstrengthandbearingstrength.Note8212;Thepresenceofincidentallubricantsonthebearingsurfacesmaysignificantlylowerthevalueofbearingyieldstrengthobtainedbythismethod.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.3Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
